about Narooma

Narooma is a small town situated on the south coast of New South Wales. You can sail in (right up to Hobbs Point), drive in, or fly in - to Moruya or Merimbula; both about one hour's drive away (we would of course pick you up). The coastline is simply stunning; long sandy beaches separated by rocky points and overlooked by forest clad cliffs. If you come at the right time of year, you can watch the whales passing as you walk along the cliff top holes of the famous Narooma golf course.

If you want something a little more adventurous, try game fishing on one of the charter boats for which Narooma is equally famous. If the sea is too rough, you can fish the beaches or the inlet. Montague Island with colonies of seals and penguins and a lovely old lighthouse is well worth a visit, as is the historic village of Tilba nestled on the flanks of Mt Dromedary, or Gulaga as local aborigines call it. If indigenous culture interests you, there is a culture centre a few kilometres south of Narooma.

So there is plenty for your partner to do while you soak up the photography; or maybe you should extend your stay so that both of you can enjoy Narooma.
