about tuition

2005 saw the introduction of a new kind of photography learning experience, personal tuition. Instead of sitting in an auditorium and sharing a presenter with other people, or even sharing a teacher at "a hands" on workshop, this is one on one learning. You tell me in advance what you want to learn and how long you want to be taught - half a day, a full day, two days or more.

All options include practical and theoretical photography. You can include photography as an adjunct to your holiday or devote your holiday to photography, the choice is yours; it matters little whether you shoot film or digital. Hobbs Point is an incredibly peaceful, beautiful spot and your cottage is fully self contained.

A weekend session costing $2500, includes tuition, accommodation, and all meals and wines. It begins when you arrive on a Friday afternoon at Hobbs Point, (or when we collect you from Moruya airport if you fly in) and ends when you leave on Sunday evening or Monday morning.

In between, you live photography with me as your guide; we would talk about the sort of photography that most interests you, and then go out together and practice what we have discussed. Later we would look critically at your results, and, over dinner we would talk some more.

So, no washing up, no cooking, just lots of photography, lots of fun, and lots of learning. You may bring a partner at no extra cost, and the cottage can be booked for a longer stay if you would like to extend your visit.
